After Brendan Taylor completed his second hundred of the Test, Zimbabwe's declaration came eight overs into the fourth morning. That left Bangladesh with 172 overs to bat over nearly two days in the fourth innings of the first Test. Given the mixed signals offered by the hosts' batting in this game so far, it will be intriguing to see whether they actually go for the 483-run target or simply settle for survival.
The reason behind Zimbabwe continuing to bat this morning was to allow the chance to get twin hundreds, and the captain completed the feat with a dab through point - and a roar. He becomes the third Zimbabwean to score two hundreds in a game after the Flower brothers, Andy and Grant. The slow outfield was a big obstacle in his innings, but he has not let anything distract him in this game.
After getting his eye in on day four, Taylor took two straight boundaries off Robiul Islam, a four and a six, to move into the nineties. He then proceeded to milk the bowling to his liking, and was favoured by some lacklustre fielding efforts from the visitors who were simply waiting for the declaration.
