Credit Empire... Empowerd.. the Naked Emperor... (by Windiepink)

Twas the year 1837, when the beloved Danish author, Hans Christian Andersen, wrote a most wonderful fairy tale, to which he gave this title, "The Emperor's New Clothes". It's wisdom can be understood, in a most wonderful write of the power of credit weaved into political correctness. It is the story of the Ruler of a distant land who was so enamored of his appearance and his clothing that he had a different suit for every hour of the day. This is certainly a story in fortelling of... "The Age of Credit"

One day the WB (World Bank) and IMF (International Monitary Fund) rogues arrived in town, claiming to be very gifted weavers. They convinced the Emperor that they could weave the most wonderful credit cloth, which had magical political correct properties. The credit clothes were only visible to those who were completely pure in heart and spirit. The more pure in political correctness the heart and spirit, the higher the credit cloth rating.

The Emperor was so impressed by the majic of the credit cloth, and at once ordered the weavers to begin work. The WB and IMF rogues, who had a deep understanding of human nature, began to feign work on as many empty looms as they could find in the empire.

Minister after minister went to view the new credit clothes and all came back exhorting it great beauty.... "Ohhhh... The looms are so busy! The credit cloths look so beautiful as they are bing spun and weaved together on the looms"....even though none of the ministers could see a thing.

Finally a grand procession was planned for the Emperor to display his new credit finery. When the Emperor went to view the new credit clothes finery, He was shocked to see absolutely nothing, but he could feel its politcial correctness and pretended to admire the fabulous cloths, inspect the clothes with awe, and, after disrobing, go through the motions of carefully putting on a suit of the new credit finery.

Under the great royal canopy of the media, upon with, the greatest in ploitical spin, the Emperor appeared to the admiring - - all of whom cheered and clapped because they all knew the rogue weavers' tale and did not want to be seen as less than pure of heart.

Then an innocent child loudly exclaimed in as it should be, that the Emperor had nothing on at all. He had no clothes.

...........

This is a fairtale written by Christian Andersen and adapted by Windiepink... But it just might be so ture... it just might be about you...

Sincerly... its-nice-to-be-nobody
(Thank you Christian Andersen & windiepink for sharing this with me, so i can share with others)

Great Story Windiepink!  Only this is a story that has come to bear some very bitter fruit!  Even so, I don't see the Age of Credit coming to and end any time soon - especially as the real value of our paper currency is so low and generally the poorer people are, the more they see Credit as a good thing. (It's an illusion - but one that has been very persuasive!).
