Although the number of tax lien foreclosure sales in Florida has increased in the past few months, the issue has been overshadowed by accusation of fraudulent foreclosure actions by banks.

The number of homes being offered as tax lien foreclosure sales has risen in the past few months in Florida. However, the issue is not the center of current housing market news in the state, but foreclosing banks' actions are.

An example involves one of the many foreclosed homes in Broward, FL owned by Joyce and Dennis Brown. According to the couple, CitiMortgage has started foreclosure proceedings on their Lauderdale Lakes house by using fake documents. The Browns also accused CitiMortgage of failing to credit them with the payments they provided to the bank.
