BC Gang Rape Update: 2 Witnesses Come Forward in Case
Two Witnesses Have Come Forward in the Case of the BC Gang Rape That Took Place in Pitt Meadows BC Two Weeks Ago
RCMP are applauding the courage of these two young people, but say more need to step up to build the case against the five to seven men who gang raped a 16-year-old girl at a rave party in Pitt Meadows.
The young girl was reportedly drugged, taken outside to a field and raped by several different teenagers and allegedly some adults. A 16-year-old boy who allegedly took photos of the gang rape posted them on Facebook and they spread like wildfire throughout the Internet. He was arrested and released and could face child pornography charges, while another 18-year-old man who was also arrested and released, could face sexual assault charges.
“We respect the courage that it took for these two young adults to come forward under extreme peer pressure. And I want to commend the leadership they showed as young adults,” RCMP spokesman Sergeant Peter Thiessen said at a news conference Thursday. “What’s really important now is that others need to follow their example.”
No details about the witnesses were released to the media and the victim's identity will never be released. The girl's parents issued a written statement on Thursday saying their daughter has now returned to school and is struggling to get back to her normal life.
"Our daughter is a very beautiful and brave individual," the girl's parents said in a statement distributed by RCMP.
"She is strong. She has returned to school and is trying to get some normalcy back in her life. There are a lot of kids out there supporting her, and that's also making a big difference."
The parents have been receiving offers of monetary donations for their daughter, but have declined, saying they do not want to profit in any way from this tragedy.

The problem is much larger. Criminals have right victims do not!. In Ontario repeat sex offenders are allowed back in the same schools. If that wasn't bad enough a school administrator and two teachers sent four boys home after they raped a child on a school trip. The rape was taped and viewed by the educators apparently. No criminal charges have been put against the teachers yet! Another Ontario school principal actually threw dog feces at a child and was simply sent to another school.... Great role Model!

A lot of people spreading lies about the girl. One of them quoted in the Province, Kayla Smith, was outed as a friend of the guy arrested and they even picked him up at her house. Funny how the Province article doesn't say anything about that. The story was all about how the facebook groub she helped start was shut down. Looks like the Prov doesn't do its homework. That was faked to get attention. The expert who examined her found she was raped and said her injuries prove this. The Province says that some are saying she didn't even have sex. Lots of lies are crap flying around. People probably been threatened and coerced.A lot of people don't want the truth to come out (rapist or their friends or people who can't believe some one they know could do it)
