Beatles Guru "Maharishi Mahesh yogi expires"

Allahabad: The body of spiritual guru Maharishi Mahesh Yogi  who was also the originator of transcendental meditation across the globe reached the banks of ganges from Netherlands Saturday.

the guru had initiated  the British pop-rock band Beatles into Indian spiritualism and transcendental meditation,  while their visit to rishikesh fondly known as beatles ashram.

it also happens to be the 40th anniversary year of beatles in Rishikesh,India

The body was kept at the ashram for few  hours before reaching its final destination at the religious school run by Mahesh Yogi's organisation   several prominent seers joined the procession.

maharishi was also propogator of vedic teachings around the world.various scholostic organisation were run by the seer.

Mahesh Yogi's will be kept in Vidyapeeth where it will remain open to public on Sunday.

the cremation will take place on the banks of Ganga in the vicinity of the Vidyapeeth Monday morning.
