Beluga Fortune Freed After One Day
German cargo ship Beluga Fortune and its 16 crew members are now free, after having been seized by Somali pirates off the coast of Kenya.
The Beluga Fortune was hijacked on October 24 as it sailed from the United Arab Emirates to South Africa. Pirates also seized the MV York and its 17 crew members less than a day later.

The rescue operation that freed the Beluga Fortune was staged by the German military in conjunction with the EU Naval Force's Operation Atalanta, an anti-piracy mission.

"The cool-headed behavior ... of the Beluga crew on board and the quick action of navy units .. left the pirates no other option than to give up their dream of a million (dollar) ransom and to flee," Beluga Shipping said in a statement.

the best way to resolve this problem would be to put in a couple of submarines in the area. when the loser somalis start sailing then the subs can start shooting. plain and simple.
