Ben Brown, Baton Rouge Accountant's Body Found, Possible Suicide
Ben Brown, the Baton Rouge Accountant who mysteriously went missing two days ago in Louisiana has been found. His body was discovered near the office where he worked, and it appears that the either jumped or fell from the roof of the 10-story building.
His body was found by detectives at 12:07 am lying in the bushes on the west side of the office at 8550 United Plaza Blvd, but there are no signs of foul play. An autopsy will be conducted soon as the coroner could not determine Ben died on purpose or by accident.
He was last seen Wednesday morning when he arrived at the building for work at 5:20 am, and no one had heard from him since.
Ragan Brown, who on Thursday described her husband as “the love of my life” and “one of the sweetest, most genuine men I ever met,” could not be reached for comment Friday.
They had just celebrated their first wedding anniversary.
Benjamin Brown was an accountant for Postlethwaite and Netterville and they were only one floor from the roof of the building.
Fellow workers were devastated to hear of Ben's death.
In honor of Brown, the company has started the Benjamin C. Brown ’99 Memorial Endowed Scholarship. The scholarship will benefit students at Catholic High School where Brown graduated in 1999 as valedictorian.
