NP Rank:
Ben Stein calls Barack Obama angry black man!
In the last three months or so , Fox News has strongly suggested that Barack Obama was an angry black man. We kept on seeing the video clips of Reverend Wright at the pulpit. We kept on hearing about Barack Obama's "associations." We kept on seeing the distorting visual images as Barack Obama appeared on screen. Until this point, though, we hadn't heard a conservative (at least not that I've heard) come out and flatly say, Barrack Obama is an angry black man. This all changed on Neil Cavuto's saturday show.
Ben Stein said the following while discussing Obama attacking McCain for not knowing how many houses he has: Stein: "Ah, it could work. I don't think it's going to work because I think Obama, ah, people... I think, if I may say so, there's just too many people who are not going to vote for a black candidate. But, ah, especially a black angry candidate. I hate to say that because I abhor racism but I don't think it's going to work for that reason."
Cavuto asked Ben Stein to reiterate his comments, and he did. I have been saying this for months on nowpublic. The right in this country views Barack Obama as an angry black man. I applaud Ben Stein for having the courage to say what's on the mind of everyone on Fox.

Ben Stein used to be a pretty good game show host.
Do we need an opinion label here?
at 17:18 on August 30th, 2008
Yes this is an opinion piece - can you add the flag? Thanks

This is a great article. I think it should stay where it is!

It's not moving anywhere - it just adds a tag to it. The story stays in the same channel.
Here's some information on the opinion flag.

I agree.
I think painting Obama as the "angry black male" is the right-wing version of the so-called "race card".
Remember, we got eight years of Boy George Bush thanks to the fear factor. They are hoping to make it work again.
Good post!

Dunkelberg: You're exactly right! Matt Drudge on his blog put a picture up of Michelle Obama kissing Joe Biden, and Barack kissing Jill Biden. What's the message there? They want you to fear interracial relations. They are playing on that century old notion that blacks shouldn't be with whites.

I did check the link and washed the Video and read the transcript. All is there, however no mention of NP nor that he has been saying, writing any thing on NP nor that he is a member of NP. Is there more info? Or is it your interpretation?

Folks, Bob has a history of calling many fox news right wingers racists.

I just point out what people say, Bill. It just so happens, that all the racism in te media comes from Fox News and rightwing talking-heads.
