The motto of Berlin Pride 2009 with its giant Parade on June 27 is “Step by step to happiness – all rights for everyone”.

This slogan is part of the German Pride campaign to include gays, lesbians, bisexuals and transgenders (GLBT) – or more specifically the term “sexual identity” – in the German Constitution. 2009 is the 60th anniversary of the Federal Republic of Germany and it is about time that GLBT people are included in the German Constitution just like other minorities.
