Bhutto blamed Ejaz Shah for plots to kill her

The political heir of slain twice-premier Benazir Bhutto has openly accused former dictator General Pervez Musharraf for being responsible for the killing of his mother.

London: Pakistan People's Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has indicated that former President General (r) Parvez Musharraf was involved in the conspiracy of his late mother Benazir

The Nation quoted Bilawal, as saying, that the killer of his mother had only pulled the trigger, while the gun had been loaded by the dictator.

It is regrettable Pakistan president Asif Ali Zardari, known worldwide as Mr. Ten Percent, appears to have made peace with the killers of Benazir Bhutto, including Brigadier Ejaz Shah.

Bhutto was one of the most charismatic woman leaders from the Islamic world.

1. The murderers of Benazir Bhutto will probably never be known. But circumstantial evidence suggests that several of Pakistan's leading figures had cause to benefit from her removal and should be questioned about the assassination at the very least.

2. Troublingly, these individuals have also been accused of links with al-Qaeda and the Taliba'an.

3. The close relationship that these figures enjoyed with General Musharraf might remain as the proverbial skeletons in Pakistan's cupboard.
