Bhutto’s party names candidate for PM office

ISLAMABAD, March 22: The Pakistan People's Party (PPP) of slain former Prime
Minister Benazir Bhutto on Saturday evening put an end to speculation about
new prime minister of Pakistan as it named Syed Yousaf Raza Gillani for the
top office of the country.

The PPP vice chairman, Gillani is a former speaker of the National Assembly
of Pakistan (1993-1996) and former federal minister (1985-1988).
