A bigger, more sinister question

Last night during a commercial break the Barackstar took full advantage of the TV timeout to regroup backstage, a little make-up, a sip of water and a quick tune-up for this summers hottest hollywood android (sorry WALL: E)

Obama took the opportunity to display his camera charisma, his spotlight allure, the very qualities that make him the most talked about politician in North America (sorry Mrs. Palin) when he took it upon himself to "throw" to the first commercial break during the Democratic segment of last nights service forum @ Columbia University.

During the second break in the action I was eager to see if the Barackstar would carry out the same ritual a second time . . . No such luck, Chuck.

Obama spent the second intermission shaking hands, kissing babies and generally campaigning like any good politician. The Senator from Illinois was his usual enticing self on Thursday night but following the second commercial break my mind began to wander, wander back to Senator McCain’s performance yesterday evening during the same forum @ Columbia University.

Had McCain missed the boat by not capitalizing on the brief commercial breaks to do things like shaking hands or kissing babies?

Or

Had the day just drawn on to long for the 72-year-old Presidential candidate?

Or

Had it all been a calculated, conscious decision by the McCain camp to air on the side of caution when it came to campaigning on one of the most sombre day’s on the American calender?

But all these question only drove me to a bigger, more sinister question with more relevance to the Presidency then any of the previous three combined.

Given the candidate`s polar opposite reactions, one, exploitation of an abundantly microscopic hole and the second a complete failure to even notice the microscopic hole in the first place, which one of these two men do you want as your next President?

The star runningback that explodes through a crack in the defence on his march to the end zone

Or

The back-up quarterback, taking it all in, enjoying the sights & sounds, holding the clipboard well Barackstar Obama plunges into the end zone, touchdown!!!
