Bikes Must Cross

Cyclists must cross to the bidirectional bike lane on the side of the one way portion of Cliff Drive in Capitola, California.

CABO is in the process of discussing proposed changes to the CALTRANS Highway Design Manual. One of the proposals is language to discourage bidirectional bike lanes. I suggested modifying that proposed language (phew!) so that bidirectional bike facilities adjacent to one way streets (like this one) should be encouraged.
