Bill Clinton says wife is victim of a ‘cover up’
Bill Clinton comes out swinging for wife Hillary Clinton, who for weeks has essentially been told to go home and back to the kitchen to make way for Barack Obama. Clinton (Bill) has a key point: is the Democratic Party really paying attention to polling numbers for the most viable candidate against the Republicans?
Former President Bill Clinton said that Democrats were more likely to lose in November if his wife Hillary Clinton is not the party’s presidential nominee, and suggested some people were trying to “cover this up” and “push and pressure and bully” superdelegates to make up their minds prematurely.
"I can’t believe it. It is just frantic the way they are trying to push and pressure and bully all these superdelegates to come out,” he said at a South Dakota campaign stop Sunday, in remarks first reported by ABC News. “'Oh, this is so terrible: The people they want her. Oh, this is so terrible: She is winning the general election, and he is not. Oh my goodness, we have to cover this up.'"
The former president added that his wife had not been given the respect she deserved as a legitimate presidential candidate. "She is winning the general election today and he is not, according to all the evidence,” he said. “And I have never seen anything like it. I have never seen a candidate treated so disrespectfully just for running.”

Thanks, Sanjay. I think Clinton hasn't had a fair chance for a long time now, if ever.

I have a dream -- I want all Democrats to remember how you feel about the lack of clarity regarding 9/11, the possibility of secret black boxes on your cars, cameras on the street lights, large communication companies tapping your phones and conducting surveilance of your Internet usage, WAR, Katrina, famine, Guatemala Bay, the lack of WMD in Iraq, rising gas prices, and THE STUFF WE DON'T EVEN KNOW ABOUT. Then go in that voting booth in November and vote for WHICHEVER DEMOCRAT emerges victorious in this election. Remember, if you cannot support the candidate, then support your PARTY. Vote for whichever candidate emerges victorious -- Hillary or Obama -- even if you have to take a couple of drinks first! DECIDE TO WIN THIS THING! Hope my dream comes true. I have to disagree: I've never voted "party lines." I vote for the person. But that's just me.
And, I don't see those cameras at traffic lights as a bad thing. They've helped catch criminals, even those who've killed. The only fear most people should have is being caught picking their noses. ;} If anyone has any other fears, then they have other problems, I think. Then again, I'm a law and order type.

It's a shame under the rules of their party that it's mathematically impossible for her to win.
Google 'clinton money' for a pretty good write up of why she's still in this...she went in debt at least another $6 million a week or so ago. This unfortunately no longer (if ever) has anything to do with democracy and everything to do with money.
Also, is it just me, or is Bill getting crazier the further along this gets? If he's not careful, *he'll* be the reason she quits the race. Also why am I listening to a guy who cheated on his wife and lied about it while president talk about cover ups?

If Bill were my spouse (oh, there's an impossible concept...!!!!) and I were running for something, I'd tell him to sit down and shut up. Then again--I think the Clintons are playing "good cop, bad cop." As a former President, Bill's "bad cop" carries more clout than would the same gig from someone in her campaign or any supporter. So maybe she's just getting full use of him in what I suspect is the way he's most useful--political machine.

Thanks for the flags, everyone. I first noticed something when it seemed that most of the bigger news sources only ran "ugly" pictures of Hillary, while running the most attractive pix of Obama. I was amazed and horrified. Whatever happened to honest, objective editing? Somehow a cult has formed, and the leftist members of the media decided to just sink her early on in favor of Obama. And to me, the media meddling in to that extent makes them providing propaganda, not news. I know people yell about a "right" slant--but I truly think that most of the major media is so far left.
What horrifies me: is that the media today can be so clearly id'd as left or right. The media's job is to present news, objectively. The editorial page can be the place for editorials, but to use the rest of the paper, through photo selection, placement, and all too often, downright reporter interjection into the story is just plain wrong--and unethical.

I notice he does not comment on the objective facts: That Obama has more delagate votes, more states and more committed superdelagates. I think Bill is inhaling again!

Inhaling vs. snorting? Now, there's an interesting "choose who you respect" concept. ;}

He might be a little more on the ball if he were snorting rather than smoking something. LOL!

I totally agree, Pep. And I think Bill Clinton is right. The media, right or left, seems to all still be owned by the White House/republicans. IMO they want Obama as McCain's opponent, because they think he can be easier to beat than Hillary Clinton.
