Bill Maher: Sarah Palin, Michele Bachmann are MILFs

Bill Maher appeared on Chris Matthews' Hardball on MSNBC to talk about Sarah Palin and Michele Bachmann, and their supporters in the Republican Party. In the interview, when asked about how Sarah Palin and Michele Bachmann drew the crowd in Minnesota, Bill Maher suspected many are "doughy white men" who look on them as "MILFs".

Bill Maher, host of HBO's Real Time, first started the interview wondering why the mainstream media is taking Sarah Palin so seriously. He pointed out that Sarah Palin came in 3rd with 18% in polls. Bill Maher thought she is far from being a qualified presidential candidate.

Maher went on to talk about how Sarah Palin couldn't name her favorite Founding Father when Glenn Beck asked her to name someone other than George Washington.

About 3 minutes into the interview, Chris Matthews asked: "What do you make of those two ladies when they came out and did sort of a competition? They showed up together looking, well, they are attractive ladies, let's say that, and they were very good at drawing that crowd up there in Minnesota, which I used to think was Hubert Humphrey and Gene McCarthy country, and now it's that country."

Bill Maher replied, "Well, I think you're right. I think you hit on something there. They're attractive especially to the Republican Party, which is not known as a party that really does well with the opposite sex. Usually they're doughy white men and I think they look on Michele Bachmann and Sarah Palin, as you know, MILFs! and I agree, they're Morons I'd Like to Forget."

I can't say whether Sarah Palin is the star of the GOP. I don't think the GOP can tell either! But the question should be: Is Sarah Palin a star at all? My answer is yes and she's a rare kind of star. When thinking of Sarah Palin, the star, the words "awesome", "fantastic" and "superb" come to mind. She is awesome at being ignorant about world affairs, she is fantastic at being opportunistic, as evidenced by her recent pocketing of 12 million dollars for her hard work in rallies and empty-vessel speeches; she is superb at depicting President Obama as inexperienced, particularly on matters related to international affairs, counter-proliferation and yes... definitely proficient with nuclear weapons discussions as she works arduously to pronounce the word... Uh, what is it again...? NU-CU-LAAAAAR! A country always needs stars like these, especially for purposes of international representation! Think about it: When Iran goes fully NU-CU-LAR and Russia probably does back deals with Iran, Sarah Palin will always be there, keeping an eye on Russia from her backyard as she uses the other eye to watch for dangerous moose! She then strikes back, using a retreat and reload strategy! Hopefully, a star like this has already reached its zenith. The kind of shine such a star emits risks burning us all! And speaking of Sarah Palin's light and brightness, I think it's appropriate to ask: Is it because light travels faster than sound that some people appear bright until they speak? It must be, for this phenomenon alone can explain this peculiar star, Sarah Palin.
