Looking for inspiration, I paid a visit to a different wine store a couple of days ago.

Not only did I find a Spanish wine that I never tasted before but even better, this red blend was 50% Prieto Picudo and it was my first encounter with this grape.

Brought to us by producer Dehesa de Rubiales in Fuentes del Ropel-Zamora (Castilla y Leon), this Olaia (2004) besides Prieto Picudo is 45% Tempranillo and 5% Merlot.
