Blast at Delhi High Court Kills 9, 45 Injured

A bomb explosion outside the High Court of national capital New Delhi killed at least 9 people and injured over 45. Bomb, kept in suitcase, exploded at 10:15 a.m. local time near Gate No. 5 of the court where visitors line up for paas.

An explosion took place at gate no. 5 of Delhi High Court at around 10.15 AM on Wednesday when People were in queue for their gate passes. 
Several People have been injured, shifted to AIIMS, Ram Manohar Lohiya and Safdarjung hospital. 
"The explosives appeared to have been kept in a briefcase" Home Ministry official UK Bansal told reporters
The situation is under control. It was a medium intensity blast. Fire brigade, Bomb disposal squad and Delhi Police officials have rushed to the spot. The Delhi Police have cordoned off the area. 
Jt Commissioner (Crime) Sandip Goyal and Special Commissioner PN Aggarwal also joined them.
Rajya Sabha has been adjourned till 2PM to allow Government to collect information on blast. Home minister P Chidambaram will make statement about blast at 12.30 PM in Lok Sabha.
