DERA GHAZI KHAN: Six persons were killed and 35 others were injured in an explosion near Khosa Market in Dera Ghazi Khan.

According to initial reports the blast occurred near the residence of Zulfiqar Khosa, senior advisor of the Chief Minister of Punjab. Khosa was not present at his residence at the time of the explosion.


Police have cordoned off the area and the injured were being transferred to local hospitals.

According to sources five kilogrammes explosives were used in the blast.

At least 10 shops were destroyed in the blast. Commissioner Dera Ghazi Khan has said that several people were still trapped under the debris of a collapsed structure.
