I'm posting this on the anniversary of New England's Blizzard of 1978. February 5 -7th, 1978 (lasting 3 days) with sustained winds of hurricane force, this giant nor'easter dumped more than 4 feet in some areas, with drifts of up to 15 feet. Hundreds of people were stranded on roadways and highways on their way home from work when the snow was falling at a rate of 4 inches per hour. Unfortunately Many people died in their cars as they were not prepared. This here is my childhood home, I was 5 at the time this picture was taken, and I thought it was such a thrill that the snow was over my head.
