Police have found a body that is believed to be that of the Mount Rainier gunman that shot down a park ranger on a rampage.

The body of a white male face down in the snow was found by police that were searching around Mount Rainier for a person of interest in the shooting of park ranger Margaret Anderson. The National Park Service confirmed that the suspect had been spotted by air.

Authorities believe it is the body of 24 year old Benjamin Colton Barnes, an Iraq war veteran.

Barnes was believed to have survivalist training. Police on the homicide case believe he fled to the remote park after the shooting that killed Anderson and wounded other four people near Seattle, involving SWAT, detectives and other police.

It could be 24-hours before the police reach the body, where it was seen in chest-deep snow.
