Bolivian president, Evo Morales, has nationalized Air BP which operates fuel stations at airports across Bolivia.  It was reported that unarmed troops were in control of the fueling stations.
Talks are ongoing between the government and BP to discuss compensation.

Bolivia's president has brought the local unit of British aviation fuel supplier Air BP under state control.

Evo Morales announced the decree at a rally to mark international workers' day on Friday, and ordered troops to take control of the company's operations.

Morales is the first indigenous person in Bolivia to be elected president.  He has pursued a policy of nationalising foreign resource extraction firms, using profits to fund social programmes.

Bolivia takes over four oil companies and one communication enterprise.
