The NATO led international force in Afghanistan says seven of its soldiers were killed in a single incidence, they died when two road side bombs exploded in southern Afghanistan. The troops were on a foot patrol when they triggered two Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs). The NATO led mission has released few other details but this is a heavy loss from one incident. The nationalities of the deceased will be released after their families have been informed. Soldiers fighting there are well protected from the bombs when they are in their vehicles, but foot patrol allows them to get closer to the population and the enemy. Nearly 200 troops have been killed in Afghanistan this year.
