TERROR ALERT at Delhi Airport India

After midnight shootout scare at Capital's International Airport, more and more such threats have been reported in different parts of India. The news of  the reported hearing gun shots in the mid-night at airport created a scare and security was further heightened.

According to local media reports, the firing of two gun shots was heard at around 1.15 am near gate no 4, but there was no eyewitness and no cartridge shells were found. The functioning of the airport was disrupted for about 40 minutes.

Adding to the drama, a white Toyota Qualis car, during the intensive checking drive, jumped the queue and sped away. A police Gypsy gave a chase to the Qualis with neighbouring Haryana  state number plate but lost it after some time. The scare at Airport had barely settled then the news of a bomb came from a big five star hotel in New Delhi.

The guests and the staff of InterContinental Hotel re-lived the tension and scare of the Mumbai terror attack when Delhi police conducted massive search operations inside the hotel on Friday morning.

However, police denied any reports of bomb being planted or any possible terror attack. Police said it is just a routine check up.

Earlier in Mumbai Police searched premises of a college after getting a bomb call.

The Somaiya college in suburban Vidyavihar received an anonymous call claiming that a bomb has been planted in the college which will explode soon, they said.

Following this, the college has been vacated and searches are being conducted by the Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad (BDDS).

Rather than getting scared by rumours, we only need to be alert and keep an eye on every suspicious activity around us. Keep an eye on people living in our immediate surroundings. interact with new occupants and keep a track of their background and activities. keep a record of the servants that we hire.
