Bone Found Near Phillip Garrido's House
As Antioch police examine Phillip Garrido's property for forensic evidence connecting him to several unsolved murders and disappearances, law enforcement officials have found a bone fragment in Phillip Garrido's neighbor's backyard. Phillip used to live in a shed in that yard and acted as that property's caretaker.
Tests to determine the origin of the bone would take several weeks, Mr Lee said, as teams of investigators continued to pore over the ramshackle home where Mr Garrido held Jaycee Lee Dugard prisoner for nearly two decades.
Phillip Garrido's van is also visible in Google Street View. If you go to 1554 Walnut Ave, Antioch in Google Maps, Click on Street View, and find the rusty van in the driveway. Then move the Street View southbound on Walnut Ave and "turn around", so to speak. You'll see the van following the Street View car for a while. It's a little creepy, though there are probably several instances of people following the Google car out of curiosity, this guy genuinely had something to hide, and surely a car with cameras all over it set off some alarms for him.
Antioch and Contra Costa County authorities have not provided many details about what they are seeking at the properties in relation to other cases.
