The National Weather Service reported:

"...SELECTED STORM TOTAL SNOWFALL IN INCHES FROM 700 AM EST THU FEB
04 THROUGH 1000 AM EST SAT FEB 06...

...WASHINGTON DC...
AMERICAN UNIVERSITY                  19.5
CHEVY CHASE 1 S                      15.0
ANACOSTIA                            10.0
THE WHITE HOUSE                      10.0
ADAMS MORGAN                          7.0"

I have seen more than that fall and estimate at least seven more inches.

I walked a mile in the Ballston Neighborhood and noted very few vehicles. It was hard to walk even where sidewalks had been cleared. Streets remain clogged and cars without garages must give it up. See photos.

Nice photos. I'm wondering if you and your family will enjoy a snowball fight, although make sure that no one misinterprets the snowball fight as something dangerous! ;)

Snowballs we could make. Snowmen we could not as it is too deep.

The big snow balls, when rolled over the snow, will compress it (it is heavy) - making a snowman won't be a problem.

If you want to do a snow sculpture, you can just pile it up with a shovel, use your hands for shaping. Lot of fun.

How do I make a shovel symbol?

Thanks for a good report.

Snow removal has begun, though it is pretty much impassable for walkers as plows cut off all walkways with mounds of snow.
