Boycott Scotland Cheat Sheet: List of Scottish Inventions
The Lockerbie bomber Abdel Basset Ali al-Mehrahi was released by the Scottish official Kenny MacAskill. Although Abdel Basset Ali al-Mehrahi was already released and will soon die of cancer, something must be done. You might be wondering what you can do to show your patriotism. You can do that by joining the Boycott Scotland campaign to express your fury by punishing average Scots for the decision made by their government official.
If enough people do it, the Scottish government will realize they made a terrible decision, and bring the Lockerbie bomber back from Libya so that he will die in prison. To be a true patriot, some sacrifice must be made. Here is a list of Scottish inventions that you should stay away like plague, because we certainly don't want to look like a bunch of ignorant hypocrites.
Transportation:
It's best to minimize traveling because two stroke engine, pedal bicycle, and pneumatic tyre are all invented by Scots. The best solution is to walk. Also, beware not to cross many of the suspension bridges because they use wire rope, a Scottish invention.
Communication:
Avoid telephone, stamps, fax, and radio. Talk to your friends and family instead. Oh and you have to give up television too, so you'll have a lot of extra time to walk to your friends' place.
Finger Printing:
All criminals convicted using finger printing evidence should be released.
Medical:
Stay away from ultrasound, MRI, Insulin.
Household:Unplug your refrigerator. Stop using the flush toilet. We can live without them anyway.
It's a small price to pay for patriotism. Here is a full list of Scottish inventions, boycott them all if you are a true patriot.
On a personal note, I should change my name to something else. Don't forget to despise anyone named Scott.

Fellow Scots, and American brothers and sisters, and others who have spoken with eloquence in defence of my country; it would appear from all the messages on these various pages (ignoring some of the knuckle dragging comments from both sides of the Atlantic) that the arguement is well and truly won, brains have won out over brawn, the pen has proven mightier than the sword. A boycott is ridiculous. A couple of posts from the other side have shown some merit, but alas lacked clarity and logic. Some of the posts have however revealed dark psychiatric problems amongst "boycotters".
Here is a an excerpt from CBS which demonstrates the hypocrisy of the 'boycott Scotland' website and supporters:
From CBS news website.....
Libya’s recent handling of Lockerbie and its weapons program has allowed the U.S. to start work on a bi-lateral trade agreement.
And paving the way are top private equity firms like Goldman Sachs and Carlyle Group. Both well-known investment companies have benefitted from hundreds of millions of dollars thanks to the Libyan Investment Fund. And the U.S. State Department is encouraging an even closer relationship.
The attraction between the two countries is mutual. For Libya, the U.S. is like the captain of the high school football team - a star player on the world stage, with political and economic clout. With the U.S. on its side, Libya can gain access to almost any party. There’s no greater seal of approval than American investment deals, particularly for a country long-despised by the West.
So what’s in it for America? Easy - vast resources, both mineral and monetary. Gasoline in Libya goes for less than 70 cents a gallon. Do the math. That’s a lot of oil and for now, there’s little foreign investment. And that’s not all. The Libyan Investment Authority has tens of billions of untapped dollars.
Libya is a fresh source of capital at a time when the traditional sovereign wealth states of the Gulf are over-invested in the troubled U.S. and European markets, and even Asia is feeling the crunch.
Libya has a long way to go before it gets the equivalent of the football star’s class pin. You can’t even say Libya and the U.S. are "going steady." But they’re definitely dating. Tarhuni says "neither side will be led anywhere they don’t want to go. The U.S. and Libya will walk hand in hand."

How about a boycott of the USA? Up for it? If you are in favour of boycotting terrorist states, and even those who release terrorists on compassionate grounds, then it is only logical to assume that you will automatically boycott those seeking a close relationship with such people (the US State Department), after all as the logic goes, "a boycott is the only way to demonstrate your anger".

As Mike Myers used to say on Saturday Night Live, "if it's not Scottish, it's crap!"

We of the Yorkshire clan disagree - we say, "If it's not from Yorkshire it's shite! (Sh'ite)"

That is a completely foolish argument. Boycotts are directed at the current operations of a country, not it's past achievements.

...and for them to work the people concerned have to care - and there are many more Scot's who don't compared to those Scot's who do.

eastvanray,
No, completely wrong and missguided. This idiotic Scottish Boycott will only affect the poor and the underprivileged, it will also greatly upset affect the mothers of sons who have died fighting in Afghanistan (note the large number comments denigrating Scottish soldiers serving in Afghanistan - from 'boycotters' - that says it all about their mindset). It is only a 'foolish' arguement when viewed by the blinkered. Open your eyes, see the hypocrisy about US interests in Libya. Why not answer these questions?
If you accept Meghrahi's guilt, then you must accept the other conclusions in the trial that the Libyan government organised and sponsored Lockerbie. The US government accepted this, and indeed pressed for compensation from the Libyan government. Do you accept this as a true representation of the facts? yes/no
If yes, then you must be angry that the US government is officially seeking to achieve closer ties with the Libyan government and the 'sponsor' of the Lockerbie bombing - Gaddaffi, whilst American companies are already making billions of dollars from this improving relationship.
Are you angry with this? yes/no
If you answer 'no' to this then you are a hypocrite. Plain and simple.
If you answer yes, then for consistency you must boycott US goods as well, and urge people around the world, who as the arguement goes, have no way of influencing US policy except via a boycott.
To be consistent in your stance, and to avoid being a hypocrite, you should be advocating, at the very least, a worldwide boycott of all US goods and travel to the US in protest at current US involvement with a state that organises and sponsored the Lockerbie bombing.
I for one will not boycott the US, because I am not a narrow minded, bigoted, hypocrite. I hope you are not either eastvanray.

I am not a fan of Obama's foriegn policy. The US should not be chumming up to the Libyan government.

Not to mention Vitamin C, in which only two countries in the world supply it, China and Scotland. You tell me who you would have buy from, sans lead or asbestos fillers.

No one likes us-I don't know why
We may not be perfect, but heaven knows we try
But all around, even our old friends put us down
Let's drop the big one and see what happens
We give them money-but are they grateful?
No, they're spiteful and they're hateful
They don't respect us-so let's surprise them
We'll drop the big one and pulverize them
Asia's crowded and Europe's too old
Africa is far too hot
And Canada's too cold
And South America stole our name
Let's drop the big one
There'll be no one left to blame us
We'll save Australia
Don't wanna hurt no kangaroo
We'll build an All American amusement park there
They got surfin', too
Boom goes London and boom Paris
More room for you and more room for me
And every city the whole world round
Will just be another American town
Oh, how peaceful it will be
We'll set everybody free
You'll wear a Japanese kimono babe
And there'll be Italian shoes for me
They all hate us anyhow
So let's drop the big one now
Let's drop the big one now

REVEALED:
AMERICAN COMPASSION AT WORK - A few examples (there are a lot more): (hum the above tune to 'Political Science' while reading this)
(*JIOA = The US War Department's Joint Intelligence Objectives Agency)
ARTHUR RUDOLPHDuring the war, Rudolph was operations director of the Mittelwerk factory at the Dora-Nordhausen concentration camps, where 20,000 workers died from beatings, hangings, and starvation. Rudolph had been a member of the Nazi party since 1931; a 1945 military file on him said simply: "100% Nazi, dangerous type, security threat..!! Suggest internment."
But the *JIOA's final dossier on him said there was "nothing in his records indicating that he was a war criminal or and ardent Nazi or otherwise objectionable." Rudolph became a US citizen and later designed the Saturn 5 rocket used in the Apollo moon landings. In 1984, when his war record was finally investigated, he fled to West Germany.
WERNHER VON BRAUNFrom 1937 to 1945, von Braun was the technical director of the Peenemunde rocket research center, where the V-2 rocket --which devastated England--was developed. As noted previously, his dossier was rewritten so he didn't appear to have been an enthusiastic Nazi.
Von Braun worked on guided missiles for the U.S. Army and was later director of NASA's Marshall Space Flight Center. He became a celebrity in the 1950s and early 1960s, as one of Walt Disney's experts on the "World of Tomorrow." In 1970, he became NASA's associate administrator.
KURT BLOMEA high-ranking Nazi scientist, Blome told U.S. military interrogators in 1945 that he had been ordered 1943 to experiment with plague vaccines on concentration camp prisoners. He was tried at Nuremberg in 1947 on charges of practicing euthanasia (extermination of sick prisoners), and conducting experiments on humans. Although acquitted, his earlier admissions were well known, and it was generally accepted that he had indeed participated in the gruesome experiments.
Two months after his Nuremberg acquittal, Blome was interviewed at Camp David, Maryland, about biological warfare. In 1951, he was hired by the U.S. Army Chemical Corps to work on chemical warfare. His file neglected to mention Nuremberg.
MAJOR GENERAL WALTER SCHREIBERThe US military tribunal at Nuremberg heard evidence that "Schreiber had assigned doctors to experiment on concentration camp prisoners and had made funds available for such experimentation." The assistant prosecutor said the evidence would have convicted Schreiber if the Soviets, who held him from 1945 to 1948, had made him available for trial.
Again, Schreiber's Paperclip file made no mention of this evidence; the project found work for him at the Air Force School of Medicine at Randolph Field in Texas. When columnist Drew Pearson publicized the Nuremberg evidence in 1952, the negative publicity led the JIOA, says Hunt, to arrange "a visa and a job for Schreiber in Argentina, where his daughter was living." On May 22, 1952, he was flown to Buenos Aires.
HERMANN BECKER-FREYSING and SIEGFRIED RUFFThese two, along with Blome, were among the 23 defendants in the Nuremberg War Trials "Medical Case." Becker-Freysing was convicted and sentenced to 20 years in prison for conducting experiments on Dachau inmates, such as starving them, then force-feeding them sea water that had been chemically altered to make it drinkable. Ruff was acquitted (in a close decision) on charges that he had killed as many as 80 Dachau inmates in a low-pressure chamber designed to simulate altitudes in excess of 60,000 feet. Before their trial, Becker-Freysing and Ruff were paid by the Army Air Force to write reports about their grotesque experiments.

The boycott is ridiculous Americans are just in a huf because unlike the english the Scottish have decided not to suck upon the penis of the USA. And as for all americans and english who will enevitibilly join this boycott they can go get raped by a blue whale.
at 11:28 on August 30th, 2009
Raped by a blue whale? That is the best you can do? Are you fuckin retarded? Did you even visit a school? Clearly you never attended one or you would have better material! What a stupid comment. Hey, if you want to be all angry at the US and the UK that is fine but you better come up with something better than that!
