Brazil launches program to attract tourists

Rio de Janeiro is bidding for 2016 Olympic Games, President Lula just launched yesterday in New York  a massive offensive targeting attract foreigners to visit Rio de Janeiro and other cities.

An extensive tourism program will also support the Rio de Janeiro bid to the 2016 Olympic Games
 
Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva launched this Monday 22nd in New York a massive tourism offensive designed to attract foreigners to visit Rio de Janeiro and other Brazilian sights.
 
“Brazil Sensational” aims to offer visitors the opportunity of experiencing different environments while visiting the country. “Brazil will be a key tourist destination in the world within the next 10 to 15 years” said the President.  
 
While reaffirming the Government’s commitment to invest in infrastructure, President Lula da Silva emphasized that the program will promote and support the Rio de Janeiro bid to stage the Olympic and Paralympic Games in 2016. “All international actions of the Government are aligned with the Rio2016 project. This is a priority of the Brazilian Government” said the President.

Lula had just better make sure he doesn't get British "expertise" in to calculate the cost of staging the games. I've lost track as to how much over budget London currently is. Thank goodness Paris lost out for 2012.
