BREAKING NEWS: Baltimore's Mayor Indicted on 12 Counts

ABC2NEWS.COM has just confirmed that Mayor Sheila Dixon has been indicted. She faces 12 charges, in connection with an investigation into bribery scandal. Among them, perjury, theft, fraudulent misappropriation by a fiduciary and misconduct in office.
The charges stem from when Dixon was City Council President in 2004. That year, the Council amended the Ethics Disclosure law, which required public employees to disclose any gifts they received from anyone with a financial interest in the city.
According to state prosecutors, Dixon received gifts from a real estate developer that same year. The gifts, included travel, hotels and a gift certificate. State prosecutors say she used that certificate to buy gift cards.
