More Spanish police have been targerted with another car bombing killing two.

The blast happened outside the Civil Guard police barracks in Palma Nova, Majorca around 2pm local time in a busy street next to a large hotel, a post office and health centre.

The two people who died are reported on local media to be Civil Guard officers.

The hotel next to the blast site, The hotels Mirlos and Toldos is full with British tourists.

The hotel felt the blast and suffered minor damage but at this time of year there could be up to 1000 Brits in the hotel.

Spanish police, to prevent the bombers escaping the island have ordered all Majorca's ports and airports to close.

This explosion happened only a day after Eta blew up a Civil Guard barracks in the northern Spanish city of Burgos where 60 people were injured.

Eta have killed more than 850 people since it was founded in the 1960s.

There are fears of more bombs as Eta 50th anniversary of its founding is tomorrow [Friday].

Wikipedia - Who are Eta

At least two Civil Guard officers have been killed by a car bomb blast outside a barracks in the west of the Spanish island of Majorca, officials say.

The vehicle parked near the facility in Palmanova exploded shortly before 1400 (1200 GMT), close to Marivent Palace, where Spain's royal family is staying.

The blast comes a day after a car bomb targeted a barracks in the mainland city of Burgos, injuring 46 people.

Police blamed the Basque separatist group, Eta, for Wednesday's attack.

The BBC's Steve Kingstone in Madrid says Eta, which has been blamed for more than 820 deaths during its 40-year campaign for an independent Basque nation, will again be the focus of police inquiries.
