ASTV Manager Online reported that police have fired shots at PAD protesters who are gathering at Suvarnabhumi Airport. This has been denied by one of the PAD leaders though so is probably not true.

There are more conflicting reports though. At the moment all that is known is that police have sent 200 police and 100 riot police men.

Riot police units have set up a police checkpoint and used a mobile jail unit to block off 1 lane of traffic leading to the Suvarnabhumi Airport. More than 100 riot police officers are stationed at the checkpoint.

Apparently though after hetaed negotiations the PAD have driven back the oplice already and one report claims they have seized several police vehicles.

This post will be updated as more news become available.
