Brian Dorian Has Been Arrested in Connection with a Shooting Spree in Illinois and Indiana Earlier This Week That Left One Man Dead and Two Wounded

Mr. Dorian has been arrested on first-degree murder charges after being picked up at his home in Lynwood. He is now being held on $2.5 million bail according to Chicago Breaking News.

He has been off-duty as a police officer since October 2009 due to a shoulder injury, but he now stands accused of shooting two men on a construction site near Beecher, and killing one of them. He also reportedly opened fire on a man on a farm in Lowell, but he did not kill him.

It has now been revealed that the man drove past the scene of the first shooting twice, asking the men outside from Rich Construction if they were selling paneling or plywood. After he stopped he talked briefly with the men before opening fire when one began to walk away. He killed a 45-year-old man, and wounded a 19-year-old by shooting him in the head and stomach.

The second shooting happened about 40 minutes later when farmer Peter Dahl, 64, was shot in the arm and shoulder after the suspect shot him three times.

In both circumstances, Mr. Dorian started talking about honey bees before opening fire.

His brother Lance said that Brian is not capable of these kinds of crimes:

"He's not the guy, he wouldn't be involved with something like this," Lance Dorian said from the family's home near Lynwood.
