Illegal immigrants queuing to enter Britain are being offered 'bribes' worth £1,700 to return home instead.

The British and French Governments are funding the Global Calais Project which targets those staying in squalid makeshift camps near Calais.

The immigrants - many of whom have paid people smugglers to help them reach the UK - are told they will be put on a flight home and given help worth 2,000 euros if they agree to go voluntarily.

Gordon Brown "Got a promble here minister"
Minister "Do the usual sir"
Prime Minister "Oh yes the labour parties final answer throw money at it"

However this time the money spent could be money saved as each migrant that gets to britian in the end could cost the tax payer a great deal more money in social security and benifits etc. In fact this is to become a EU policy to help solve the problem of migrants entering EU. .

Lets See Airfare from Vancouver to England $800.00  and $100.00 cabfare through the chunnel to France.

Claim Refugee Status in both countries $10.00

England and France each give me about $2,000 dollars each to go home, total profit $3,100.00 "PRICELESS!

But I don't think its a double whammy its only one EU payment also it won't work for you as a visa will be stamped in your passport and you will be expected as a Canadian to pay your own airfare home (return ticket needed at the UK airport). Shame though you can't earn some extra pocket money and you forgot to indicate your stay in London of which is great for site seeing and tasting good English Ale from the tap (Something I really miss).
