British MP Galloway Receives VIP Passport from Hamas Head
British lawmaker George Galloway held a meeting with Gaza's head at an undisclosed location.
Top Hamas leader in Gaza Ismail Haniyeh has kept out of sight since Israel launched a military offensive against Hamas last December.
Haniyeh's office said the meeting took place on Tuesday. It released a picture of the two men embracing and says Galloway was awarded an honorary Palestinian passport.
Kissing the ground in Gaza. What an amazing and special MP. (tongue deep in cheek)
Some 24 days after leaving Britain, part of a Gaza aid convoy finally arrived in the Strip via the Rafah border crossing on Monday, prompting British MP George Galloway, who headed the group, to kiss the ground.
The 'Viva Palestina' vehicle convoy, bringing medicine, food, clothing and toys, traveled more than 12,000 kilometers, through France, Spain, Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Libya and Egypt. It also included Ambulances and a fire engine.
