The Brooklyn Bridge Was Closed to Vehicular and Pedestrian Traffic on Friday Morning

Police were called about a 'suspicious looking flashlight' on the bridge according to MyFoxNY, and and closed the bridge as a precaution.

It turns out the flashlight was from the Lymphoma and Leukemia Society walk called 'Light the Night', and the bridge was reopened around 10:45am .

It was closed for about one hour and drivers should still expect delays in the area.

Sadly UFOs were not the cause of the bridge closure.

Well, I hope it wasn't really just an ordinary flashlight and we are not being kept in the dark. A lot of people are still traumatized about terrorist attack. Police shut down the Brooklyn Bridge Friday morning. This was for the safety of all involved. Pedestrian, cycle and vehicle traffic was closed on the bridge while police investigated "suspicious packages." The bridge was opened up after about an hour. The "suspicious packages" turned out to be flashlights with copper wiring.
