Brutal assault on 4th and Blanca, Vancouver

According to Vancouver Police, they are investigating a serious assault that has resulted in a 31 year old man being taken to hospital with critical injuries.

At 9:30 a.m. calls to 9-1-1 came in from the area of West 4th Avenue and Blanca Street of a man screaming and covered in blood. Officers arrived and found the victim in the 4700 block of West 4th Avenue in serious condition. The man was rushed to hospital where he is being examined by doctors and is in critical condition with multiple injuries.

At this early stage of the investigation Detectives are trying to piece together the events leading up to the assault and we have no suspect information available to release at this time.
