WASHINGTON DC -- The third death anniversary of a Baluch statesman who was killed on the orders of a Pakistani dictator and coup plotter was observed as "Down with Pakistan" day in the U.S. capital Wednesday.
Nawab Akbar Khan Bugti, 79, former governor and chief minister of Baluchistan, who was lovingly called the Tiger of Baluchistan, was killed on August 26, 2006, on the orders of Pakistan's last military ruler General Pervez Musharraf.
In his latest interview, Bugti's successor Sardar Brahamdagh Bugti, 30, said the aims and objects of the Pakistani occupation forces remain unchanged in Baluchistan.
AUG 26: Interview with Brahamdagh Bugti (Baloch Republican Army BRA) mon 3rd death anniversary of Nawab Akber Bugti which falls on Aug 26. Brahamdagh is grandson of Nawab Bugti. He says more and more party workers and leaders are being kidnapped and disappeared. Military Ops has increased and widened. Full scale op has started in Makran also, he said. Brahamdagh says it is too late now. Baloch mentality has changed, deploring why the establishment did not talk to Nawab Bugti who was a politician and a national Baloch leader. Justifying targeted killings of Punjabis and non-balochis in Balochistan, he said it is a reaction to killings of thousands of Balochis since 60 years.
