Police monitoring Jon Venables  have discovered child pornography on the convicted killer's computer.

Venables is reported to have been bragging about his true identity on several social networking sites including Facebook as well as in local pubs.

Alarm bells went off when he began shooting his mouth off telling people his real identity. It was because of this that his computer was seized and the child porn was discovered."

Venables will apparently be given a new identity again at the taxpayers' expense.

Venables is in the last chance saloon, he was given unprecedented support and a new identity at huge public cost.We can’t afford to have him mess up again otherwise the system becomes a farce.

History of the Venables Case

James Bulger was just two years old when Jon Venables and Robert Thompson abducted him from a shopping Mall in Liverpool, England. The two abducters were themselves just 10 years old.

They were children killing children -- brutally. They tried to drown James Bulger, then beat him to death with rocks and bricks and an iron rod, leaving his body to be cut in half by a train. The trial judge called it "unparalleled evil and barbarity" and gave them an indefinite sentence.

In 1994, then UK Home Secretary Michael Howard increased the sentences of the two killers to 15 years, citing a petition signed by more than 275,000 people in support of life sentences and thousands of other signatures and letters demanding life terms or minimum 25-year sentences.

That was later overturned following judicial review proceedings by the House of Lords. In March 1999, the European Commission of Human Rights ruled that Thompson and Venables were unfairly treated because their trial was "severely intimidatory" and held in a "highly charged" atmosphere.

The panel voted 14-5 that the proceedings violated Article 6 of the European Human Rights Convention. In December 1999, the European Court of Human Rights, echoing the conclusion of the European Commission of Human Rights, rulesdthat Thompson and Venables had been treated unfairly because they were tried as adults.

The European court says the rights of the two boys also were violated by the decision of then-British Home Secretary Michael Howard to increase their sentences to 15 years.

The European court did not void Thompson's and Venables' sentences, but put pressure on Britain to amend legal practices, such as the right of a government minister to set prison terms for minors or send juveniles accused of serious offenses to trial in an adult court.

So they were treated unfairly? So was Jamie Bulge. I would call it even and no reason to have let them out to begin with.

I have real problems believing anyone capable of this at 10 is not a threat to the public for life. If killing animals as a child is a sure sign of later violent acts as numerous studies have shown, what does this make them? I know this is not Politically Correct, but some people are just no good, deal with it.

I agree, At the age of ten clearly you have an understanding of right and wrong. What these two boys did to Jamie Bulger was horrific and I can not imagine what anyone was thinking when they thought eight years in detention would make it right.

The bleeding hearts and do gooders will have to live with themselves.

My heart goes out to the bulger family.
