Bullying Rife in Australian Businesses
Meaning taken from Wikipedia
"Bullying is a form of abuse. It involves repeated acts over time attempting to create or enforce one person's (or group's) power over another person (or group) , thus an "imbalance of power".[2] The "imbalance of power" may be social power and/or physical power. The victim of bullying is sometimes referred to as a target. Bullying types of behavior are often rooted in a would-be bully's inability to empathize with those whom he or she would target.".

Does Bullying still exist in Australian Businesses, how is it delt with, and are internal protocols working.
Let's talk about the Whistle Blower and Bullying Policy, which most if not all businesses adopt.
This Policy simply ensures that any wrong doings are reported, either anonymously or in person, but how protected is the Whistle Blower / Victim?....will he/she be seen differently.
In many cases, the person that has built the courage to report the situation, becomes the victim, so the question is. is it all worth it?.
What if the person is senior and better still your boss, this puts another spin on things and indeed even more difficult to deal with.
This situation is currently being played out in many Australian Banks and is still happening till this day. It seems that the more senior you are the more protected you become.
