This year crops in Bundelkhand were already poor and during current week hogwash rain added more steel to the adversity. The farmers at Bundelkhand tried to cultivate without rain but the unaccountable rainfall destroyed the ‘Kharif’ crops this year.
In drought facing Bundelkhand, this year nominal amount of crops were prepared without the rain but now, when ‘Kharif’ crop was up the misfired raining for a week destroyed the ready crops in the field. This resulted into subsequent addition to the Bundelkhandi’s never ending problems. Though the agricultural experts are forecasting that this rainfall will result into good ‘Rabi’ crops but the pre-preparations were suppose to be made with the sale of ‘Kharif’. Now, it will be extremely hard for farmers to buy manure and seeds for ‘Rabi’. Most of the farmers there are already in throat cutting debts then how can they look up at banks for more loans. The nature has played a very dramatic role with these poor peasants. They are loosing there patience and may take some unwanted steps. To support the peasants at this time of adversity, one of the regional parties “Bundelkand Akikrit Party” has demanded the state government to support the farmers for cultivation of ‘Rabi’ crops. Fertilizers and arrangements should be erected at government level
