Burbank Motorcycle Accident Injures One and Fatal For One Rider

According to reports a motorcycle accident that occurred in the vicinity of the eastbound lanes of the 134 Freeway injured the motorcycle passenger and was fatal for the man operating the bike.

The California Highway Patrol reported that a weekend solo motorcycle accident which occurred in the area of Buena Vista Street in Burbank left a 45 year old woman in serious condition with internal injuries. The operator of the bike identified as a 51 year old man from Los Angeles with fatal injuries.

Officer Anthony Martin of the California Highway Patrol stated the accident was a solo motorcycle accident that occurred at approximately 7:40 p.m. when the rider lost control of the bike. The accident is under investigation and the reason the rider lost control is not known with the exception that the motorcycle fell on its side. Officers are unsure if the woman or the operator of the bike were wearing helmets.

Both victims were transported to the hospital where the operator of the motorcycle was pronounced dead at approximately 8:15 p.m. according to Anthony Martin of the California Highway Patrol.
