The military Junta relocating cyclone victims out of their refugee camps and sending them back to their devastated villages, further adds insult to injury by telling the weak and hungry to live off the fat of the land.

A land on a severe diet of mud and rock in which the cyclone killed not only people, but trees, buildings etc.

One wonders why the world allows this military junta to exist.

It is pretty clear why the Junta want the victims to live on frogs and not aid, is because the choice aid supplies are in the hands of the Junta who gorge themselves while their people starve.

Truly disgusting

Burma cyclone: Junta tells victims to eat frogs

The Burmese government has lashed out at international aid, saying that starving cyclone survivors can live on frogs and fish instead of foreign handouts.Meanwhile camps of survivors are being forcibly cleared by the army and the people trucked back to their villages, without the supplies they need to survive.

According to newspaper New Light of Myanmar, a government mouthpiece: "The people (of the Irrawaddy delta) can survive with self-reliant efforts even if they are not given chocolate bars from (the) international community.

"Myanmar people can easily get fish for dishes by just fishing in the fields and ditches. In the early monsoon, large edible frogs are abundant."

Thanks everyone for your comments, perhaps this would fly in France, but not in a country where disease and lack of white tablecloths makes it difficult to even comprehend this idiotic despots reasoning. What's next snails?

Nothing surprises me from these monsters.  I think they're itchin' for some "forced democracy" George W. Bush-style!  Forget Iran and start with a warm-up war that can be completed over a long weekend.  Build from there.

I agree, though the US in the 1960's thought Vietnam would be weekend war as well. China would most indoubtedly get  involved as would North Korea.  But I see your point, the guy has to be taken out~ by his own people.  I think most of us are getting tired of fighting the worlds battle as the World's Police.

Pretty much any Gourmand, except in Burma the  refugees won't get a wine list.
