Burned Woman in Gatineau Park

A woman was found seriously burned in Gatineau Park in Quebec, near Ottawa. The woman was found on Tuesday afternoon with second and third degree burns to 80% of her body. A group of staff and students spotted her at Gatineau Park.

The burned woman's identity is still unknown. She was seriously burned on her face and body. The woman told someone who found her that there are other victims, but police was unable to find any other victim.

Police found blood on the snow near the burned woman, but it is unclear if the blood sample is related to the case.

Someone in the group called 911 and the woman was taken to Gatineau hospital in critical condition, then later transferred to a burn unit in Montreal.
