The President of the United States in preparation of his eventual departure from office next year arrived in style at Washington Journalists Dinner. President Bush donning a Cowboy Hat and "Shooting Irons" entertained Journalists who had strapped on their "Eatin Irons" at this Feedbag as they chowed down and much to everyones surprise President Bush sang his own fine toe tapping rendition "Western Diddy" of Green, Green Grass of Home to everyones delight.

President Bush said an early farewell to political Washington on Saturday night, making his first appearance on the stage of the Gridiron Club of Washington journalists.Bush surprised the white-tie audience of more than 600, including Supreme Court justices, Cabinet members and lawmakers, by appearing as the final act of the club's annual revue. To the tune of "Green Green Grass of Home," he sang about looking forward to his return to Texas.

Barry Artiste, I like this story. It's good stuff.
The Gridiron Club is famous for the "let down your hair" skits and commentary by attendees.
But hey, mind your references to Howdy Doody! I liked Howdy Doody! Not only that, I have a friend, a multi-generation Okie heavily Scots-Irish, who looks so much like Howdy that it's incredible. Signed, Anonymous Friends of That Hunka Hunka Howdy Doody. ;}

There's a lot of Howdy Doody in all of us, though for most Politicians it's just Doody!
