President George W. Bush, giving his 47th and final news conference today in what he called "...the ultimate exit interview...", plans to deliver his farewell speech to the nation on Thursday night, January 15th.

Bush will deliver the speech, expected to run 10 to 15 minutes, from the ornate East Room of the White House. He will have a small audience of people in the room, chosen for their stories of personal courage.

White House press secretary Dana Perino said Monday that Bush will "uphold the tradition of presidents using farewell addresses to look forward — by sharing his thoughts on greatest challenges facing the country, and on what it will take to meet them."

Bush will speak in prime time, at 8 p.m. EST. The White House has requested airtime from the major television networks.

Bush's great farewell — I bet it's going to be a Dubya doozy!

In a week Obama will have all the problems and he will find that solving them takes a lot of time and a lot of money.

I'm cracking up about giving a talk and having as an audience  people "chosen for their stories of personal courage".

We should ban this bastards speach.  The harm he has done, the bullshit Iraq war.. Halliburton making billions...Him and Cheney need to go to Guantanamo Bay and live there for the rest of their lives.. His kids need to go to the front lines of Iraq!

The worst most pathetic loser president the USA has ever had.

"worst most" chuckles!

It's obvious your hate overrides rational thinking. I really don't understand haters like yourself (probably a far left kool-aid drinker) for it seems no matter the condition you choose to continuously be unhappy. Don't watch Bush's final address to the nation or watch and celebrate the event knowing it's his last. I shake my head at comments like this and think to myself so much for all the unifying words Obama spoke. If Obama doesn't deliver people like you will be looking backwards for a long time.

Only reason I can think that you find the Iraq War BS is probably because no WMD's were found? I doubt that Iraqi's feel as you do for they were the ones that ruled on his death by hanging, the man was a tyrant. Bet you'd rather have Saddam as your president, hope you aren't a Kurd.

Halliburton without knowing all the facts I somewhat concede your point of view. Looking at their stock gains from March 2003 to present the stock did rise and has stayed steady.

I sure hope Obama closes Guantanamo Bay as quick as he promised for you might want him there and his daughters on the front lines in Afghanistan. Some rational thinking like you have done.

Myself I can thinking of two other former presidents I'd classify as our worst but you might idolize them so I won't comment for what you might wish upon me.

I missed that one. Well I doubt that this will be the last we hear from him or off him.

huh, he seemed like a rather stand up gentleman to me . . .

i bet that if any of you were to meet him in person, without bias, you would like him. unfortunately thats not all it takes to be president. my father is a likable  guy, until recently a bush supporter(voted for him twice) but a little isolated from the things that happen outside of his narrow world. incompetence can also be achieved with years of training, or so it would seem.
