The Bailout program, just started turns into worldwide socialism competition. First waste the money, second kill all innovative competition with mergers. If you finally are bankruptcy ask government to keep you alive and give an upfront retainer on bailout money for the wealthy.
Kill the Dinosaurs
Constructive destruction of the dinosaurs is the solution. Middle class reintroduction.
Bancruptcy bankers into prison; remaining banks forced to give credit to middle class entrepreneurs.
PARIS -- Europe's car makers plan to ask the European Commission for a €40 billion ($55.22 billion) loan to accelerate the transition to environmentally friendly cars, a spokesman for Italy's Fiat SpA confirmed Saturday.
The request follows a similar move in the U.S., where Congress approved $25 billion in loans to help U.S.-based automakers for Hybrid cars

SOLARLIFE, I like this story. It's good stuff.
And let's not forget the US government bailed out Chrysler with LARGE a couple decades ago. And Chrysler under the leadership of Lee Iacocca, repaid the loan ahead of time and the car manufacture survived a bad economic period due to the economic threat posed by Japan.

BallyZACA..Lee Iacocca repaid the loan, we had all his book, a great guy. Now Cerberus hedgefund, a nopublic company (not registered stock market) . So why should we finance this riders to continue ? The german car industy killed in th 90's every actor with electric cars or hybrid cars, featuring the stinky easy diesel. Volkswagen Renault did everything to make clean cars bad. They should go to hell and make place for real Founders, anyway the chinese founders will beat them. The computer manufacturer Apple did not come from the Remington typwriter industry. Apple produced the first 100 computers in wood just to start.

This presumably was not the legacy he intended.
Then again there are those who charge that the whole Bush administration has been soviet from the start. The so called Bush tax cuts were really tax deferments and his administration has effectively been nationalizing the economy for 8 years. Though Bush reduced government revenues he didn't cut spending (in fact he increased it) thereby racking up huge debt and making the current situation inevitable.
