Two people have been questioned in connection to the home invasion and murder of Byrd and Melanie Billings, a couple who had adopted up to 12 special-needs children and cared for a total of 16 children.

A red Dodge van was found on surveillance cameras around the couple's home in Beula, Florida, and subsequent interviews with neighbors, friends, and family led detectives to the two people currently being questioned, though no one has been arrested and any possible connections between the "persons of interest" and the Billings remained undisclosed by police.

But the sheriff said investigators can tie the pair "to enough significant events and instances in this case that would lead a reasonable person to believe that they have an association with these murders."

Sheriff David Morgan revealed that a third person is wanted for questioning, but has not been found.
