Allegations were made

If two women made allegations and settled out of court, Cain can’t say there were no allegations. Allegations were made and the outcome was settled. That’s the news and that’s the truth.

Cain camp denies harassment allegations

Nia-Malika Henderson

The presidential campaign of Republican Herman Cain is pushing back against allegations that he engaged in inappropriate behavior with at least two women when he was head of the National Restaurant Association.”

I read as much as I could about Herman Cain’s experience in the franchise restaurant business. Anyone who has ever worked in this sector knows something about the basics: 1) there is a financial model based on what we call enterprise resource management and optimization of resources to produce maximum profit, 2) franchises have branded menus and consistent quality standards that are supported by trained and enthusiastic workers who produce products and provide customer service. The heads of the franchises are typically people with big personalities, large enthusiasm, and personnel leadership skills.

Herman Cain possesses the skill and experience to operate large food franchise businesses. That is what can be concluded about Herman Cain. That experience does not transfer completely to the host of sophisticated skill, knowledge, and experience requirements of the office of President of the United States.

There is no evidence to support that Herman Cain can managed the most complex government enterprise in the world.

Character is most important. We know that from the Clinton days. So, if we see any hint of a flaw upfront, voters should beware.

We need the most superior and strongly equipped candidates to renew America. If you don’t see that, keep looking.

We are still looking and will take anyone who isn't as flawed as Obama and his flawed administration. That leaves the door wide open for Cain or anyone else. I hear Joe the plumber is on the move. I guess people think even he would be a positive change.

No I don't. Unless those postings tell the story about how you bitched, whined, and lied when allegations were made against Obama. All the while perpetuating the spread of allegations as truth against Republican candidates.

What's the over/under on the race card? Wednesday? Look for Herman to use the Clarence Thomas defense before the week is out. The irony here, is this story has that ratf@*%k Karl Rove's paws all over it. Welcome to the party Herman. Best of luck.

As I commented elsewhere, Nanute:

I wasn't surprised to hear Mr. Cain's feigned indignation at the charges by using his hero Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas' phrase "high tech lynching."

An interesting thing about Black conservatives, especially Republicans, is that their race NEVEREVER comes into view as a reason or rationale for ANYTHING that has occurred, or NOT occurred, in their lives until they are confronted with some scenario of which they'd rather not have to deal. THEN, it's cries of  'They're doing this 'cause I'm Black!'

This may only be the beginning of Mr. Cain's problems or an ongoing possible tour of explanations as he stated at the National Press Club that he was unaware of any settlement paid to any of the women who had alleged his misconduct.

That claim seems rather specious if he was the head of the National Restaurant Association. It doesn't ring true that if any settlement were reached that Mr. Cain would not be made aware of such actions.

It was his fiduciary responsibility to know the details in and out.

I didn't jump all over this because I knew I didn't have to. He would step on his own gonads.

mine -  mine - mine, sound familiar

Jim, what is beyond puzzling is that, although the Cain campaign was contacted on October 20, he has been so poorly prepared for questions regarding this.

I do hope his plan wasn't to do the Clarence Thomas 'It's 'cause I'm Black!' schtick and hope it all went away. Of course, that excuse will most likely satisfy his Right Wing, conservative and Republican supporters, no one else.

He had about 10 days to get his s**t together. What happened?

Frankly, I am a white person with a conscience and I think there is a lot of racism in Americaand I prefer to give people the benefit of the doubt.
