CA Election 2010 Results: California Governor, Jerry Brown Wins Beats Meg Whitman, Jerry Brown Victory Speech Video

While much of the country made shifts towards the Right voting in Republican and Tea Party backed candidates, California stayed in the Democratic camp. Jerry Brown will be the new Governor California, beating out ex-eBay CEO Meg Whitman. Jerry Brown received over 3.8 million votes (55%) to Meg Whitman's 2.9 million votes (41%).

It looks like I'm going back again," Brown said. "As you know, I've got the know-how and the experience. This time, we have a first lady, which we didn't have last time."

He called for an end to the divisiveness that has torn Sacramento and Washington, D.C, and proclaimed that it was time for California to become a leader in renewable energy and education. He said he chose the theater for his victory party because it, too, underwent a renaissance after 30 years.

Jerry Brown was Governor of California from 1975-83 and he is currently the state's attorney general. Meg Whitman spent close to a $100 million dollars on her failed came for Senate.

I was willing to see California try out Meg, but since experience is needed, there is none with more than Jerry Brown, the retried retread.

Are you serious? "all the votes aren't in yet, but its good enough for government work?"  Isnt that the type of bureaucratic and lazy attitude that we are trying to eliminate?  I hope Jerry Brown leads by a better example that hard work is needed, and that the fat needs to be trimmed to get California back on track.

That's just the man's style. The fact is: he's proven he can get things done. He's great at pulling people together. He's got both vision and pragmatism. Who cares if he uses some tired expression in a victory speech? There is something to be said for experience, and Brown's got a good track record.
