I was ten or eleven during the Cuban Missle Crisis.  I was so scared from all the talk about what might happen,.. I went out and sat on the curb in front of our house on Robbins Air Force Base in Warner Robbins, Georgia.

I should have been playing baseball, riding my bike or thinking about the girl next door.

But I wasn't.

I was very afraid. And was sitting all alone on that curb.

My dad was gone, Called in on High Alert.  It was possibly Nuclear War... and the end of the world.

And I felt so helpless.

All I could do is wait and see what happened.

Years later, the day after an election,  nobody knew who had won. It all depended on Florida... which was for all practical purposes, owned and run by Republicans.

Then it went even higher... to a Supreme Court, which was for all practical purposes... run by you know who.

And nobody was really surprised... when Bush was declared the winner.

And again I, as millions of Americans... felt hopeless.

What could we do... but take it.  And we have taken Bush... for eight too many years.

War, a sinking economy, and low road politics. Again.

This time, this election, we again face a very real threat that the Presidency might somehow once more be stolen.

Millions of us have given our time, effort, money and and prayers... that Barack Obama might win and become the President of the United States of America... and lead us out not only of this Bush mess... but finally as well out of a racial and economic divisiveness that has been going on since the beginning of our nation.

But we also know... that everything we have done... may not be enough.

It is extremely hard to fight against last minute gross unfairness and the lies of millions of Robo Calls,  underhanded dealings, and plain outright incredible acts of cheating.

We could in fact, possibly wake up on Wednesday morning, to find that the election has been taken from us by very questionable means.

That is why I, as one person, am calling out to this nation and to this world, that if that does happen... to please stay calm.

Even if does again takes days to determine honestly and fairly who the real winner is...

Stay calm.

But this time... do something as well.

This time if on November 5, 2008 if there is any question that something "underhanded" is in the air and at work...

I call on all Obama supporters to consider immediately wearing clothes of mourning... a black arm band or a black shirt or some other article of black clothing -  in a peaceful protest... not only against the feeling that the election has been or is being stolen...

But in protest that in the year 2008 - when Technology is so advanced - that there even still exist ways that the election can be stolen.

Yes, technology can not solve the problem at the most basic level - voting authorities who give misinformation to voters - or no information at all... or who find some other way to beat the system and cheat voters of their lawful rights.

But it does have the ability now to give us a clear verdict of who is the real winner as to the votes actually cast - if we would only invest in such technology.

We need to start demanding that technology be put into place in the near future.

But right now... what should we do?

How long should peaceful protesters consider wearing their cloths of mourning?

Until this:

Until the right thing is done... and justice prevails.

Even if that several days.

The last time we felt helpless.

Lawyers fought the battle...

But what did WE do but wait?

This time we can do something.

We can peacefully protest.

One black shirt here... in Gadsden, Alabama.

A black dress in Tupelo, Mississippi.

A black arm band in Seattle, Washington...

And possibly more in wherever you are.

Maybe even some in England and France and Russia and Poland and Japan and wherever there are people watching America to see if we will become the America we have always said we wanted to be:

Where all men and women are created equal.

And no one is judged on the color of their skin...

But on the hope they give us to go on...

That things can and will be better for all of us.

Where lies and cheating can not win an election.

Where the American Spirit believes in peaceful protest.

Will, if necessary, you join me?

Will you make a committment to wear black on November 5, 2008 if the election shows any evidence of impropriety?

Wow. I am seriously wondering what is going to happen when the "always a victim" Democrats take over. Seriously, quit your damn crying. Wearing mourning clothes? *sigh* That is REALLY going to cause change you farktard.

I just hope I don't have to wear black shirt on the day...

Big V for Obama/Biden!

How will wearing dark clothing fix the problem? Each election brings up the integrity of our voting processes. There's always someone trying to "game the system". These groups need to be exposed and held accountable. Rational thinking individuals will do something more proactive and constructive. If you really want to fix they system, contact your elected representatives and demand they work for you.

The election was stolen?

First let me say I am a big fan Leo going back to ZDTV!

Leo you seem to be a smart fellow, your willful and misleading ignorance of the facts in Florida are surprising. One main fact is always left out by those who claim the election was stolen, Al Gore only wanted recounts in select counties and precincts which by default would disenfranchise millions of voters.

So if Obama wins it's because the big bad neocons let him.

Glad we straightned this out.
