Can a Christian Vote for Obama?

I have to admit that i'm noticed from your responses that you take scripture out of context and this is of concern to me.  Yes, Jesus said "Many will say to Me on that day, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name cast out demons, and in Your name perform many miracles?'  "And then I will declare to them, 'I never knew you; DEPART FROM ME, YOU WHO PRACTICE LAWLESSNESS.'

In Matthew 7:21-23 Jesus is talking about hypocrites, false teachers, those who continue to practice lawlessness, those who do not bear the fruit of repentance. He's talking about those who profess to know Him but do the opposite of what he commands. Jesus is not talking about true converts (born again), those who have by faith, repented and believe which is given only by God. It's God's goodness that leads us to repentance.

"Or do you think lightly of the riches of His kindness and tolerance and patience, not knowing that the kindness of God leads you to repentance?" Romans 2:4

You made a statement that you believe everything you read in the bible, even the things you don't understand. The problem with that statement is that you can take scripture out of context and believe something that isn't biblical in the process.

For example. You quoted John 8:7, "He who is without sin among you, let him be the first to throw a stone at her."

These men who had brought the woman before Jesus were not Christians, they were going against Jesus own words in Matthew 7:1 "Judge not or you will be judged".

These men had brought the adulterous woman before Jesus to test him so that they could accuse Jesus of either rejecting the law of moses so His credibility would be gone or if He held to the Mosaic law, His reputation for compassion and forgiveness would have been questioned."

So Jesus said, "He who is without sin cast the first stone at her"  This refers back to Deut. 13:9 & 17:7 where the witnesses of a crime are to start the execution. Only those who were not guilty of the same sin could participate.

So no one was able to stone her and Jesus turned to the woman and didn't say, "I'm love." Nope. Jesus told the woman go and sin no more. Remember Luke 13:3 where Jesus said, "Unless you repent, you will all likewise perish"

Matthew 7:1 "Judge not or you will be judged" is one of the most commonly known verses of scripture in the bible for professing Christians and unbelievers alike who the majority have no idea what this verse is means. In the context of the message it is referring to hypocritical self righteous forms of judgement. It's when we condemn a person of a sin by telling, "You're going to Hell!" while they commit the sin themselves and overlook their sin and also judge differently when it happens to be a person that they like.

And one last note. I'm surprised that instead of you responding to my email you posted your response in my news story with a vague response to my email so that others cannot see that you avoided the questions that I raised to you.

Also don't forget in the New Testament in Acts 5:1 that God killed a man and woman who told just one lie so yes, God is love but He also punishes the wicked, but "The Lord is not slow about His promise, as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing for any to perish but for all to come to repentance." 2 Peter 3:9

Thanks for reply duo, I love jesus very much as I love all of Gods messengers (moses, david, job). The first Bible (excluding old testament/torah) was written in ancient Greek (although it was new at the time) and the word that was translated to mean son, in reference to jesus, was translated to servant in reference to moses. You mentioned adam, a man that had no father or mother and yet is not referred to as the son of God. Mr Blazer just quoted from the Bible words that prove jesus performed miracles in Gods name and not through his own divinity (God gave jesus the power when he asked, the same as moses)

      I appreciate your passion and commitment to the Word of God.  I think I understand the key issue you brought up and I think it is important: 

"the notion that a person can profess to be a true 

(follower of Jesus Christ) while at the same time side 

with a man who goes against the teachings of the bible."

What I have found as I look at both, the Democratic and Republican parties, Obama and McCaine, and measured them to see if they were for or against the teachings in Scripture.  I find that neither party is actually in alignment with Jesus teachings or Jesus agenda.  I think as politicians they will tell us what we want to hear to get the Christian vote, but in the end I think that we as Bible believing Christians do not see eye to eye with either party.  Therefore, I find that by those standards I find myself supporting neither candidate.  I support Jesus alone: theologically, personally, politically, and authoritatively.  I am a citizen of His Kingdom before I am an American.  I am loyal to Jesus agenda.  I believe that Christians should not put there hope in either candidate to fix America, but that we should put our hope in Jesus to transform Americans (and people of every other race, nation, language, and tribe).  So we need to be wholistically loving people and taking care of one another, and sharing the Gospel and discipling people.  I think to put our hope for salvation, for prosperity, for nationhood in anyone but Jesus to be an even larger offense.

The quran states that God sends an angel to put the soul into a developing baby at 42 days gestation. Perhaps abortion before that time is okay for women that have been raped. For mothers safety it is, of course always okay. God knows everything before it happens so it could be argued that souls are not sent to a foetus that is destined to be aborted. It is worth mentioning that scientists discovered the developing foetus central nervous system to be developed enough for a baby to be considerered sentient only very recently - the age of that foetus? 42 days (six weeks) the same as was written in the quran 1400 years ago

Just to be clear, I think abortion is wrong.  I feel like the further along a woman is in her pregnancy, the more wrong the procedure is.  I believe abortion, at whatever stage of pregnancy, is the result of a lack of faith in God and His ability and willingness to provide and see one through life's difficulties, no matter how large.  However, punishing a person for having little faith is like punishing a mental patient for having little sense.  People only know what they know.  Lots of folks simply don't know God personally, and they naturally have no confidence in His love and His devine power and grace.  So, they arrange abortions for inconvenient pregnancies.  This has happened since ancient times, and it will continue throughout time - whether or not abortion is legal.

As you well know, if you want to look at abortion in the strict sense of being a faith issue and take a close look at the right and wrong of the matter, even women who get pregnant by rape or whose lives are threatened if they take their babies to term sin due to their lack of faith when they have an abortion.  I have personally known women who were given that medical opinion - that having their children could kill them - and they yet went through with it and survived.  So if you want to approach the issue of abortion from a strictly moral standpoint, you would have to also bar those women from abortionists, too.  It is my understanding that John McCain's position on abortion is not strictly based on the rightness and wrongness of the procedure, since he allows room for abortions in some cases.  I hold that if something is wrong, it is wrong in every case.

Consider that when abortion was illegal, the only people who could not abort unwanted pregnancies were poor women and girls who lacked the autonomy that only maturity and money can bring.  Legalities are not a deterrent to the wealthy for any medical procedures.  Abortion will never be illegal all over the world, because women have had the option whether or not to abort for decades.  A wealthy woman or girl will simply hop a plane and have an abortion at will.  Or her private physician will discreetly give her a D&C, calling her pregnancy a simple "female problem."  On the other hand, plenty of poor women, and wealthy girls who fear their parent's wraft and don't have personal cash and freedom to hop a plane, would face death after botched abortions.  Doctors who disagree with the government's moratorium on abortion would lose their medical licenses and face prison.

Again I caution Right to Lifers that if you fight to get a new life in this world, then YOU share some responsiblity in caring and providing for that life.  I have no idea how many poor women have abortions annually in America, but if you have your way, those would be live births.  What provisions are YOU making to provide for these children you insist that these economically disadvantaged women give birth to, may I ask? 

Have you thought of YOUR responsibility to these children?  We're discussing the Bible here.  Let me remind you that Jesus said, if you see a man who is cold or hungry, don't just say to him "I wish you warmth.  I wish you well fed."  Jesus said for YOU to feed that man!  So while you are marching and lying down in front of abortion clinics, you may need to think about taking a second job to help feed these little needy souls YOU are giving life.  Let me know if Right to Lifers are making plans for all the extra little feet that will need shoes and stomachs that will need food - or if you are like a deadbeat parent who only wants to participate in GETTING THE CHILD HERE, and forget the next 18 to 24 years.

Yes, abortion is wrong.  But I see lots of other things folks do that are wrong, and so do you.  I don't suppose you see all human behavior as being the Government's business to regulate, or do you?

You raise some interesting points on abortion, God says in the quran, "don't kill your children for fear of hunger, I will take care of you" . I think governments should follow Gods rules, and people should do the same. Follow the laws of morality, the ten commandments sent down by Moses, interest (capitalism) is forbidden (Jesus overturned the tables of the money lenders) dont drink or do drugs (all forbidden) Gods rules are for our own benefit. Have (fairly) responsible fun when you are young, and grow up when you are older. Some level of birth control is necessary, when children have children and the parent is still at the having fun stage serious social problems occur.

There is no evidence that Obama is a Muslim.

Is the usa a secular state or not ? I think God would be pretty happy if Obama were muslim. Still so long as Mr Obama worships none other than God (as Moses said to do, and told off his brother Aaron when he came back down from the mountain and found the people worshiping the calf) then he will be okay.

It does not matter what "Political" stance our presidential candidates say they have if what they confess is proven to be a lie. Mr McCain has been spinning lies his entire campaign. Why should I believe anything else he says? Well he will be judged as we all will and only he can answer his ways to Jesus.

People if you were true Christians you would stay away from this election and read and meditate on scripture.

THIS Christian knows he can vote for Obama. In fact, I did vote for him. And my prayers were answered. Based on my readings of Scripture, I know that Obama is so much closer to the teachings of Christ than George W. Bush, McCain or Palin are. I pray daily for those who think otherwise.

To say that God is under attack in America is the understatement of the ages. Tyrannical U.S. Supreme Court Judges removed God from the heart of America while the American people looked on. But, Democrats as usual failed miserably to fulfill their promise of ending the Iraqi war and just like nothing ever happened two years later the dumbed-down zombies went ahead and again pulled the lever for change, “yes we can” of Democratic candidate Barrack Hussein Obama and company, expecting to hit the jackpot, but instead they will encounter untold grief and suffering, living in its wake millions of victims of murder suicide, suicide, terrorism, and a sharp increase in homelessness, which in 2007  the National Law Center on Homelessness and Poverty estimated that approximately 3.5 million people, 1.35 million of them children  are scattered under the stars all over America      

   

Most Americans know not Jesus Christ personally, that’s why they know nothing, they understand nothing; their eyes are plastered over so they cannot see, and their minds are closed so they cannot understand.

Schools and universities have become the wellspring of socialism, political correctness, open-borders, sexual confusion, universalism, and hate, hate for God, hate for Christianity, and hate-morality.

Behind radical feminism, same-sex marriage, gay pride, and the overall degeneration at all levels of society throughout America lies a renewed Communist revolution, it disguises itself as Multiculturalism and Political Correctness. Separation of Church and State, pornography, pedophilia, euthanasia, easy divorce, open borders, sexual depravities, disinformation, abortion, gay pride, same-sex marriage, speech censoring, the devastation of the traditional family, and the introduction of hate crime laws.

From the phony separation of church and state, cultural Marxists are erasing the Christian heritage of America, while simultaneously engaging in a brutal psychological assault against Christians. In their quest to create equality between natural intercourse and all varieties of sexual perversion, this strategy goes by the name “gay rights” And because homosexuality is naturally repugnant to most people, drastic hate crime laws and speech control are being legislated to enforce conformity and submission.

Over fifty years ago Nikita Khrushchev said, “You Americans are so gullible, you won’t accept communism outright, but we will keep feeding you strong doses of socialism until you finally wake up and find you already have communism. We won’t have to fight you we’ll walk right in.

Right after Nikita Khrushchev uttered his fateful words, leftists revolutionaries began taking America down the path of cultural suicide, aiming their sights on Christians, Orthodox Jews, conservatives, the military, and straight males, in which all are marginalized, psychologically bullied, and targeted as homophobes, bigots, racists, intolerant, and divisive, and the enemies of the people.

One must marvel at such striking “coincidence,” the Bolsheviks took power in 1917 and declared a separation of church and state, and in 1947 the U.S. Supreme Court Justices “decided” to ban the great physician from the Halls of Government by erecting a wall of separation between church and state.
 

Separation of church and state is not found in the U.S. Constitution, or in any of the fifty States Constitutions, is not found in any of American Founding Period document or letter. In fact, the place in which the phrase is found is in a letter from Thomas Jefferson to “Messrs Nehemiah Dodge, Ephraim Robbins, & Stephen S. Nelson, a committee of the Danbury Baptist association in the state of Connecticut” which reads in part:

 

“I contemplate with sovereign reverence that act of the whole American people which declared that their legislature should "make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof," thus building a wall of separation between Church & State. Adhering to this expression of the supreme will of the nation in behalf of the rights of conscience, I shall see with sincere satisfaction the progress of those sentiments which tend to restore to man all his natural rights, convinced he has no natural right in opposition to his social duties”

Simply put, the First amendment of the U.S. Constitution was drafted into law in order to protect the church from the government, NOT to protect the government from the church.

 

However, separation of church and state is found in the Constitution of the United Soviet Socialist Republic, 1922-1991 Article 124, which reads, “In order to ensure to citizen’s freedom of conscience, the church in the U.S.S.R. is separated from the State, and the school from the church." And in the Large Soviet Encyclopedia, second edition, volume 5, (published 1950), the Word "God" is defined as "A mythical invented "being." And this is what Emelian Yaroslavsky said in his book, Religion in the U. S. S. R. "Remember that the struggle against religion is a struggle for socialism. There exist a state of war between Communism and those who have put their faith in Jesus Christ"

Today’s 99.9 % of America’s Christian mainline churches are being gagged under the IRS Tax-Exempt Code, therefore America has lost her moral voice and anything goes.
 

There was a desperate attempt in 2002 to reverse the moral damage inflicted on the Nation as result of the action taken by Senator Lyndon B. Jones, Jr. sponsored Bill H.R.2357 and introduced it in 6/28/2001 Titled: To amend the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 to permit churches and other houses of worship to engage in political campaigns. Status: On motion to suspend the rules and pass the bill Failed by the Yeas and Nays: (2/3 required): 178 - 239 (Roll no. 429).
 

Due to the Marxists-Leninists claims that religion has an unscientific and superstitious character, Marxists-Leninists has consistently called for the suppression, and, ultimately, the disappearance of religious beliefs. Glasnost is the policy of maximum publicity, openness, and transparency in the activities of all government institutions in the Soviet Union, together with freedom of information, introduced by Mikhail Gorbachev. Glasnost also refers to the specific period in the history of the USSR during the 1980’s when there was less censorship and greater freedom of information. But, does Glasnost signify a departure from the basic creed of Marx-Lenin ideology? Or the reforms are mere pretexts to deceive and mislead the west, and designed for eventual worldwide domination?

George Bush was the Kremlin test man. The Kremlin’s boldness accentuates Americans immersion in socialism by having the freedom and the temerity to pick a mulatto candidate to be the next president of the United States of America, having a questionable national origin, obscure religious affiliations, and to top it off, Obama is a bearer of a Muslim name in a supposedly Christian nation. Fifty years ago such candidate would have being inconceivable, such concept would have being foreign to the American mind, but not today, today’s generation has developed into a vast army of government indoctrinated socialists, they are the pride of the Kremlin and of Nikita Khrushchev if he would still be alive today. Make no mistake they are the ones that have installed Obama in the White House.

If America is to be saved from her impending doom, the great physician must be welcomed back into America, unrestrained. There is no time to waste. It is the duty of every Christian to forsake and boycott any CHURCH gagged under IRS 501c3 Tax-Exempt Code through the U.S. National State Church of Secular Humanism.

Today, most pastors will say they believe the church should not be involved in politics because they are "not called to do so."

 

They frequently quote the great commission of Jesus Christ “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit” but, in order to justify themselves they purposely conceal the second half of the command that says “and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.” The truth is they cannot legally endorse or contribute to political candidates, they cannot campaign for specific legislation, because they are legally forbidden to become directly involved in the political process since they have waived their Constitutional rights in order to receive the 501c(3) tax exempt status from the Internal Revenue Service.
 

Did the church ever need to seek permission from the Government to be tax exempt? Were churches prior to 1954 taxable? No, churches have never been taxable. To be taxable a church would first need to be under the jurisdiction of the taxing authority of the U.S. Government, but the First Amendment clearly places the church outside the jurisdiction of the civil government, which reads in part “congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, NOR PROHIBITING THE FREE EXERCISE THEREOF”
 

America in her present path of perdition soon will succeed in legalizing pedophilia, which is the act of an adult engaging in sexual relations with a child or children, followed by incest, which is the act of engaging in sexual relations between persons closely related, and bestiality, which is the act of engaging in sexual relations between a human and an animal or animals. All of these are happening while churches all over America are gagged under the IRS 501c3 Ta-Exempt status, and their cowering pastors together with their congregants continue singing We Are the World, Teach the World to Sing, and Kum Ba Ya. 

 

Sadly, it is impossible for you, and the vast majority of Americans to understand that Americans are no longer free, that you and the nation is enslaved by the super rich, or if you prefer, the elite, which is being lead by Satan in an attempt to rebuild his kingdom by resurrecting the Tower of Babel, thus establishing a one world government.  The U.S. Government is no longer the Government of the people, by the people, and for the people, Government disregards the U.S. Constitution daily, and does as it pleases. Sixty years ago America went from a Man’s Man God fearing nation, to a nation of castrated effeminate degenerates, who are submissive servile dumbed-down idiots, waiting to be told what to do, and what to say by the elite controlled U.S. Government and enforced through the major mass media outlets.

 

The present state of America is the direct result of Americans being disconnected from the Ten Commandments moral moorings. Jesus Christ is the only answer and the only solution to all the problems ailing America, and God is the one Americans must fear through His Son Jesus Christ. There is no other way. Either Americans welcome back Jesus Christ into America by deeds, or America will be eventually destroyed permanently.  Because of America’s rampant wickedness, there is no doubt God is in the process of destroying America, just look around you. Besides, the scriptures confirm it, we read in Isaiah 60:12 “For the nation or kingdom that will not serve you will perish; it will be utterly ruined”

  

America is being systematically destroyed, little by little, because the Lord is looking out after His Body, the invisible Church of Jesus Christ sprinkled like salt all over America. If it were not for them, the Lord God would have destroyed America a long time ago, just like He destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah, by raining down burning sulfur right out of the heavens. Unless there is a God induced revival of mass repentance coming from the people of America, make no mistake in believing the present economic scourge will pass, after a little while America will be no more. Proverbs 8:36, “But whoever fails to find me harms himself; all who hate me love death"
